Freshport Attended Costa Rica Trade & Investment Summit
The costa rica trade & investment summit has been held in Portman Ritz-Carlton hotel(shanghai) this morning. This meeting is hosted by Costa Rica Business chamber. There are ministry of foreign trade, Costa Rica consulate, shanghai related business chambers, entrepreneurs and Freshport presenting this meeting.

The summit introduced the Costa Rica’s geography, culture, economy and investment opportunities. The country’s export variety includes medical instrument, food, juice, agri-commodity. Costa Rica’s pineapple has been approved to enter the Chinese market recently.
Costa Rica’s economy mostly depends on agriculture and electronic component . The country is ranked relative developped in central America , its civilians have higher income . Costa Rica is a multicultural country because it’s unique geographic location. It is also know as the Switzerland in central America.
Costa Rica has been signed FTA with US, Europe and most Asia pacific countries. It established diplomatic relationship with China in 2007 as well as signed the FTA. The country’s banana and pineapple have been approved to enter the Chinese market and first load pineapple ,around 7 shipping containers have been delivered to China successfully.
