TMall president Jing Jie announced during the ceremonial opening of the TMall Global Cooperation Partnership on March 21st that Alibaba will start a large-scale import strategy. At the same time Alibaba will establish six purchase centers worldwide. Jing Jie stated that this development will satisfy brand and consumer demands. During this meeting, Mr. Liu Fuxue, vice-director of the China International Import Exhibition extended an invitation for the exhibition to more than 1000 overseas traders.

According to the presentation, the six purchase centers will be constructed in North America, Europe, Oceania, Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong. During the meeting, TMall also signed annual import purchase plans with representatives from Australia, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, and Thailand.
