According to Ministry of Commerce, in H1/2018 the total import and export of fresh, dried fruits and nuts in Guangxi Port reached 667,000 million tons, an increase of 22.2% over the same period of last year (the same below),worth CNY 4.1 billion. The exports volume reached increased by 30.1% while the export decreased by 8.3%. Vietnam and Thailand are major trading partners. The imports and export to Thailand have risen sharply.

In the first half of the year, total fruits imports and exports volume in Guangxi Port to Vietnam reached 553,000 tons, an increase of 6.1% with a total value of CNY 2.31 billion, an increase of 10%. The total import and export to Thailand in H1/2018 had been tripled to reach 114,000 tons, with total value of CNY 1.79 billion.

In terms of varieties, imported products in Guangxi Port mainly included watermelon, longan and durian, accounting for 76.1% of the total imports of fruits in Guangxi. The export fruits mainly include citrus, apples and oranges, accounting for 73.9% of total imports.
